Xiaopeng Group recently held a mass production mobilization meeting for robots, officially announcing that its humanoid robot business has entered the final stage of mass production, marking a key step in the industrialization of embodied intelligence for the automotive manufacturing giant.
It is understood that nearly a thousand employees from multiple centers including Xiaopeng Automotive, Powertrain, Manufacturing, Testing, and General Intelligence participated in this meeting. At the meeting, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of Xiaopeng Group, outlined key milestones: Xiaopeng's humanoid robot will achieve mass production by the end of 2026 and is expected to officially enter Xiaopeng's offline stores as a sales assistant in the first quarter of 2027. He Xiaopeng emphasized that Xiaopeng Robotics has achieved full in-house research and development from chips, operating systems, to joints and dexterous hands, making it the only company in China with a fully self-developed robot stack. The high R&D investment in the early stages will give the product higher quality and more comprehensive capabilities.
Currently, the team is working to replicate the launch and mass production path of the company's first model, G3, eight years ago. In terms of capacity building, the Xiaopeng humanoid robot mass production base, covering about 110,000 square meters in Guangtang Science and Technology City, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, has already started construction in February of this year, providing solid hardware support for subsequent full-chain large-scale production.
