As the crab season approaches, Haman has also deployed "AI inspectors" at the production areas and receiving warehouses this year. By combining AI's visual recognition technology with weight data to detect the fatness of crabs, they have further achieved automated inspection and sorting.
According to Mu Xiao, the seafood purchasing officer at Haman, due to the accumulation of data on over 10 million crabs in 2025, the model and detection efficiency this year have been further improved. When actually inspecting, the system can complete the inspection of 50 crabs within one minute, and combined with a conveyor belt, it enables automated inspection and sorting. Overall, the efficiency has improved by dozens of times. Currently, crabs sorted by AI are being sold by Haman.
