Anthropic officially announced on September 15, 2026, a major feature upgrade to its "Claude for Small and Medium Businesses" version. This update introduced 43 efficient workflows at once and added up to 27 deep integrations with mainstream business software, aiming to help small and medium business owners move artificial intelligence from a single back-end support tool to a core element driving business growth.
Looking back to May this year, Anthropic first launched intelligent connectors and pre-set workflows for small and medium businesses. To date, the usage of these tools has exceeded 900,000 times, and thousands of real feedbacks from business owners were collected during the previous spring tour. Based on this foundation, the newly released version focuses on core pain points faced by small and medium businesses in business expansion, lead conversion, and daily management reports.

In terms of application ecosystem expansion, the new version of Claude has achieved efficient integration with 27 popular platforms, including Shopify, Salesforce, TikTok commercial tools, Atlassian, Zoom, Xero, Gusto, Square, Stripe, and Zapier. Combined with previously supported Intuit QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft365, it has built a complete ecological matrix covering finance, marketing, customer service, and operations.
Regarding the key scenarios that small and medium businesses encounter frequently in a week, this upgrade introduces five benchmark-level workflows: First, the "Weekly Summary" function automatically integrates cash flow, sales comparison, pipeline progress, and overdue invoices into one page before users open spreadsheets. Second, the "Lead Smart Response" function automatically follows up and screens inquiries coming through web pages or chat windows during non-business hours, matches calendar availability, and records them in CRM. Third, the "Smart Proposal Generation" allows users to quickly record on-site inspections through voice memos, and the system generates formal commercial proposals with brand style based on past pricing. Fourth, the "Marketing Content Engine" can mass-produce multi-channel copy and design briefs according to brand tone, summarize sales performance across channels, and draft customer review responses. Fifth, the "Monthly Reconciliation and Closing" automatically cross-checks accounts, invoices, salaries, and expenses from various channels, identifies and isolates potential discrepancies, and generates an audit-compliant financial summary with one click.

In terms of security and data privacy governance, Anthropic continues to maintain strict trust design. All automated workflows default to the "human approval" mode, and the system must be confirmed by the manager before execution after preprocessing or draft writing. At the same time, the software strictly inherits the original account access permissions of the enterprise and does not use the user's business data for model training by default in team and enterprise plans.
To help small and medium businesses overcome the technology barrier, Anthropic also announced the start of the fall small and medium business tour training program. This program will hold free half-day workshops in 10 major cities across the U.S. in cooperation with partner Tenex, and organize more than 750 exclusive trainings through over 150 officially certified training institutions in local communities. It will also launch a series of free online live courses in collaboration with 14 technical integration partners, helping global small and medium businesses achieve efficient digital transformation in the AI wave.
