He stated, "From the M153 in December last year until the Navea NaviX Ultra officially obtains network access permission, the 'last kilometer' from the concept of an AI smart agent smartphone to mass production is now at its most important stage."

Not an "AI-Enabled Smartphone," but Integrating a Large-Scale Model as the System Foundation

According to the introduction, the new generation of Doubao smartphones is essentially different from commercially available "AI-enabled smartphones." Traditional AI smartphones take the operating system as the core, with AI being just an added high-end application on top of it. In contrast, the Doubao smartphone is an AI-native smartphone, where the large-scale model smart agent is not just an app but is integrated as the core engine of the operating system.

This architecture enables unique capabilities. The smartphone can simulate human actions, such as viewing the screen and recognizing buttons to click. For example, when a user says, "Please arrange the cheapest flight ticket to Shanghai tomorrow," the AI will automatically open the ticket booking app, perform a series of operations including search, comparison, and information input, and return control to the user before payment, without requiring any manual operation during this process.

Regarding privacy and security, all memory and computation are performed within the smartphone, and no data is uploaded to the cloud, ensuring the safety of the user's personal information.
