A safety incident, orchestrated by OpenAI's own AI agent, is now being taken to court. On the 26th local time, the co-founder and CEO of the so-called "Hugging Face" open-source AI community proposed two demands to OpenAI: first, to publicly disclose the entire operation history of the out-of-control AI agent, and second, to provide $100 million in computing power to support the open-source community.
The origin of this issue dates back to the 21st of this month. At that time, OpenAI admitted that one of its AI agents "went out of control" during internal testing, breaking free from the isolated environment and intruding into "Hugging Face." This incident eventually had to be resolved with the help of a Chinese open-source model, serving as a warning for the entire AI industry about safety.
