According to tech media Windows Latest, Microsoft plans to roll out the Copilot update to the classic version of Outlook for Windows 10 and Windows 11 by the end of 2026, integrating the "draft email" feature. According to the latest official plan, Microsoft plans to invite users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license to experience the "draft email" feature this year. After activation, users can launch Copilot in the compose window to let AI create or edit emails, significantly reducing the time cost of writing emails. Previously, this feature was mainly pushed to the new Outlook application, and now its coverage has expanded to the classic version, reflecting Microsoft's desire to let more users access Copilot to promote migration intent.

However, Windows Latest also points out potential concerns. Microsoft's current development focus is on the new Outlook, and adding AI features to the classic version may cause user dissatisfaction or confusion — users may not know whether Microsoft is trying to retain classic users or accelerate migration.

July 23 report, according to Morgan Stanley's latest analysis data, SpaceX's orbital computing cost is expected to drop to $6.5 per watt annually by 2031 (about 44.1 RMB), lower than the total cost of $6.8 per watt annually for ground data centers based on NVIDIA Blackwell GPU. This is the first time that orbital computing power is considered commercially attractive by mainstream investment banks.

SpaceX has previously revealed the design of its first dedicated AI computing satellite, named the "AI1" satellite. The satellite supports a peak computing load of up to 150kW, equipped with liquid cooling, micrometeoroid protection layers, centralized computing modules, and deployable solar arrays. These satellites will be manufactured at SpaceX's Gigasat factory in Texas, and SpaceX has applied to the U.S. Federal Communications Commission for authorization to launch up to 1 million satellites.

Orbital data centers have unique advantages that ground-based solutions find difficult to match. The vacuum environment enables radiative cooling to solve the heat dissipation problem, continuous and uninterrupted solar power supply ensures stable electricity, and planetary-scale orbital position resources provide almost unlimited space for large-scale deployment. Morgan Stanley further estimates that by 2040, the cost of orbital computing could drop to $1.7 per watt annually. At that time, the annual operating cost of a 1GW orbital data center would be only $1.7 billion, while the one-time construction cost of an equivalent ground data center today is approximately $100 billion. Once this cost gap is realized, space data centers are expected to completely reshape the global AI computing landscape.
