Mi Robot Division announced on July 14, 2026, the latest progress of the Mi robot in the automotive manufacturing field. After a quarter of technical breakthroughs, the dual-side operation success rate of the robot at the self-tapping nut station in the Mi car factory has risen to 98%, just 1% away from the human work pass rate, and is about to officially "turn into a permanent employee."

At the same time, the Mi robot officially started exploring new positions, delving into the logistics area of the final assembly workshop. It has achieved a 90% operation success rate at two new workstations: "central console panel sorting" and "tray folding and recycling."

This application has overcome the industry challenge of long-term flexible operations in industrial scenarios. Facing large-sized, irregular, and flexible central console side panels, the Mi robot has achieved for the first time a balance between full-body motion control and wide-range stable operations. By using its own hands' collaboration and the tactile perception of bionic dexterous hands, it completed fine attitude adjustment within the palm. In addition, the active compliance control strategy developed based on end-force perception has given the robot robustness to handle environmental interactions such as hooking or jamming. At the tray folding workstation, multi-robot units have achieved synchronized status and beat matching based on the factory's digital system.
