WeChat Open Platform Launches AI Ecosystem Access Guidelines, Mini Programs Can Support Direct Invocation of WeChat AI

WeChat Open Platform officially released the "Guidelines for Developers to Access WeChat AI Ecosystem" on June 8, 2026, announcing the ability to provide小程序 developers with convenient access to the WeChat AI ecosystem. This move marks that WeChat is accelerating the construction of an intelligent interaction ecosystem. After accessing, the小程序 will have the opportunity to be recommended and called by WeChat AI, helping users to discover and use services more efficiently. Meanwhile,小程序 that have not accessed will not be called by WeChat AI.

To meet the development needs of teams of different sizes, the platform has launched two access modes that can be enabled simultaneously and do not conflict with each other, while fully respecting the rights and autonomy of developers.

Among them, the "Auto Mode" allows developers to authorize the platform to read the source code of the小程序 when submitting it for review, and the platform automatically analyzes the小程序 pages and implements direct operations of WeChat AI without requiring additional development costs; the "Development Mode" supports developers to conduct independent personalized development based on their own business characteristics, and can be called after passing the platform's evaluation and review.

The function is currently in internal testing phase.
