On June 8, Xiaohongshu officially launched the RED Skill feature, integrating AI applications with the community content ecosystem. Currently, some creators' posts already have this component attached, allowing users to directly access relevant Skill services without redirecting to third-party platforms.

Creators can apply for the "New Feature Experience" to obtain the permission to upload and attach Skills. The platform plans to fully open this feature in the future and continue improving related functions. This model is considered the first distribution mechanism that deeply integrates AI Skills with community scenarios, differing from previous AI applications that mainly relied on independent app stores or search engines for distribution.

On the same day, Xiaohongshu also launched the official support activity "RED Skill Awards" and announced that a dedicated Skill selection list will be launched in the future. The platform stated that this move aims to lower the distribution barriers for AI Skills, further enrich the AI innovation ecosystem within the community, and promote creators to extend from content creation to tool services.
