At the "Central Plains Intelligent Audio-Visual, High-tech Innovation for the Future — Alibaba Cloud AI Creation Day AI Comic Drama Zhengzhou Special Session" event held on May 14 in the High-tech Zone of Zhengzhou, Alibaba Cloud showcased a complete set of intelligent solutions covering the creation of short comic dramas. This solution, centered around "model + platform + tools + ecosystem," aims to drive AI short comic dramas from simple generation to large-scale production.

According to Li Jin, Chief Architect of Alibaba Cloud Intelligent Group, the short drama industry is currently experiencing rapid growth. It is expected that by 2025, the market size of animated micro-short dramas in China will reach 18.98 billion yuan, with an annual growth rate of as high as 276.3%. More than 46,000 comic dramas are expected to be launched throughout the year, marking the official entry of the industry into a market worth hundreds of billions of yuan.

Li Jin stated that thanks to the advancement of AIGC technology, the traditional short drama production cycle has been shortened from 90 days to just 10 to 13 days, and production costs have significantly decreased, with the cost of a single short drama dropping to between 100,000 and 300,000 yuan, which is one-third to one-quarter cheaper than live-action short dramas. Alibaba Cloud's full-process automation has become the standard configuration for comic drama production.

Alibaba Cloud's solution includes multiple layers: at the model layer, they have independently developed HappyHorse and Wanxiang multimodal models; at the platform layer, through the BaiLian Model Square, they have integrated leading video generation models in the industry, such as Kuaishou and Vidu; at the tool layer, they have launched the "Wanjing Yike" all-in-one AI creation platform, where users need only input simple instructions, and the AI can collaboratively complete the entire process from script to high-quality visuals.

In addition, Alibaba Cloud has greatly reduced the computing power investment and collaboration costs for production companies through the No-Shadow Cloud Computer technology. Alibaba Cloud hopes that through such technological and policy support, it can help Zhengzhou become the "Capital of Micro-Short Drama Creation" and assist Henan's short drama works to go global.

At the event, Zhang Chen, an executive from Alibaba Cloud, mentioned that the policy environment in the High-tech Zone of Zhengzhou highly aligns with Alibaba Cloud's goals, and the area is now forming a clustering effect in the AI audio-visual industry. In the future, Alibaba Cloud will closely collaborate with local creators in Zhengzhou to further promote the development of the industry.
