Alibaba Trials QwenBook AI Device, Team Size Around 150 People

According to reports, the No-Image team under Alibaba Cloud is developing an AI device called QwenBook, positioned as a native intelligent agent computer, but its product form is more similar to the "Qwen Tablet." The product is currently in the early trial phase, focusing on office scenarios, and integrates models including Qwen3.8-Max and Qwen3.8-Flash.

According to an Alibaba Cloud insider, the product definition and hardware parts of QwenBook are independently developed by the team, while the team also brings in the system and end-cloud capabilities accumulated by No-Image in the cloud computer field. The current QwenBook team has about 150 people, with the system team mainly reorganized from No-Image and Alibaba Cloud OS teams, and the hardware team has recruited several talents from leading smartphone manufacturers.

From the product positioning perspective, QwenBook is not an AI feature upgrade of a traditional tablet computer, but rather attempts to use large models and intelligent agent capabilities as the core interaction method, integrating Alibaba's models, operating systems, and end-cloud collaboration capabilities into a new AI terminal. However, the product is still in the early stage, and the final form and specific launch plans have not been clarified yet.

At the 2026 Yunqi Conference, Tongyi Pingtouge launched the domestically produced AI chip Zhenwu V900, which has three times the computing power of its predecessor M890. A single cluster can be expanded to 500,000 cards, supporting advanced AI model training and inference. Alibaba stated that its chip product line is mature, with a significant increase in annual shipments expected. Wu Yongming revealed that the self-developed M890 super node is already capable of supporting large-scale model inference with up to 2 trillion parameters.

Zhipu Launches GLM-5.3-FlashX: Speed Reaches 200 Tokens/s, Domestic Computing Power Advances Again

Zhipu AI launches GLM-5.3-FlashX, with the API also going live, offering a maximum output of 200 tokens/s. It focuses on intelligence, price, and speed, providing high-throughput, low-latency inference for enterprise developers. The predecessor, GLM-5.3-Flash, was previously introduced overseas under the name Ox Alpha. It gained popularity due to its strong intelligence and cost-effectiveness at the same size, with increasing usage volume. Zhipu is now supporting growing demand.

Ant Group's AI Security Lab opens the internal security guardrail technology called SingProbe. Unlike external review, it reuses the hidden states of the base model for inference, achieving real-time token-level risk assessment with less than 0.5% additional computing power. It can simultaneously perform intent classification, safety detection, and hallucination recognition, and can block risks at the millisecond level before output in high-risk scenarios such as healthcare. It has been adapted to 29 mainstream large models.
