Latest data released by OpenAI shows a historic shift in the gender structure of ChatGPT users. When the product was launched in 2022, male users accounted for about 80%, while female users were only 20%. Now, female users have surpassed male users, with their share exceeding 50%.
Based on the current weekly active user volume of ChatGPT, this means that nearly 500 million women around the world are regularly using this tool, and ChatGPT's total user count is about to exceed 1 billion.
At the same time, OpenAI's expansion in computing power is also showing strong momentum. Its available computing power has increased from 0.2 gigawatts in 2023 to approximately 1.9 gigawatts in 2025, with an annual growth rate of about three times over two years. Looking ahead, OpenAI has signed agreements with partners such as NVIDIA for over 30 gigawatts of computing power, aiming to increase its own computing capacity to 30 gigawatts by 2030, securing an infrastructure advantage for the next stage of AI competition in advance.
