Startup Hightouch, founded seven years ago, recently launched an AI-driven service that allows marketers to create personalized content for well-known brands such as Domino's, Chime, PetSmart, and Spotify, without relying on design teams or advertising agencies. Since the launch of this AI product, Hightouch's annual recurring revenue (ARR) has increased by $70 million in just 20 months, reaching a total of $100 million.
Kashish Gupta, co-CEO of Hightouch, said that before the emergence of generative AI (GenAI), it was difficult for ordinary people to create engaging consumer assets. However, the company's approach goes beyond traditional AI models. Many brands initially tried using general foundation models to generate ad content but found the results often failed to meet "branding" standards.
Hightouch points out that foundation models do not understand specific brand characteristics, including colors, fonts, and tone. As a result, the images they generate often fail to accurately reflect brand identity. To ensure brand consistency, Hightouch connects directly with customers' existing creative tools, such as popular design platforms like Figma, photo libraries, and content management systems (CMS). By extracting data from these sources, Hightouch's platform "learns" the company's specific brand identity.
Hightouch's AI agents can use these photos, designs, and customer insights to help marketers automatically build personalized ad campaigns, eliminating the need to wait for designers or developers. Its goal is to create images and videos that look professionally designed, avoiding the common "fake" or generic appearance.
For example, Domino's will never generate fictional pizza images but instead use existing pizza pictures and place them in the background of generated ads. Today, Hightouch has approximately 380 employees and secured an $80 million C-round funding in February 2025, with a valuation of $1.2 billion.
