Silicon Valley venture capital firm a16z recently released the sixth edition of its "Top 100 Generative AI Consumer Applications" list, revealing the competitive landscape of the global AI market at the beginning of 2026. Data shows that although ChatGPT still maintains an absolute advantage and remains at the top, its web traffic is nearly 2.7 times that of the second-place Gemini. However, the Chinese AI group represented by DeepSeek is achieving a collective breakthrough.

In this ranking, DeepSeek ranked fourth on the web side due to its global user base, becoming the highest-ranked Chinese application. At the same time, Chinese-origin products such as Kimi (Moonshot), Qwen (Ali Tongyi), Kling AI (Kuaishou Keling), and Manus all made the list. On the mobile side, ByteDance's Doubao has a monthly active user base of about 315 million, firmly securing a top position globally, while CapCut (the international version of Jinying) ranks second on the mobile side with 736 million monthly active users.
Currently, the global market is divided into three independent ecosystems: Europe and the Americas, China, and Russia. The competition in 2026 has shifted to the "AI Agent" track. The rapid popularity of the open-source project OpenClaw and its subsequent acquisition by OpenAI mark the transition of AI from "conversation" to "action." Chinese companies are building core competitiveness in the global AI consumer market through their precise scenario adaptation capabilities and cross-ecosystem applications. With the rapid growth of paid users of Claude and Gemini, who can become the user's "default AI entry point" will be the key to the next stage of competition.
