Alphabet, the parent company of Google, released its Q4 2025 financial results, with the AI business standing out. The report shows that the monthly active users (MAU) of Google's AI chatbot Gemini have officially exceeded 750 million, demonstrating remarkable growth momentum.

Compared to the 650 million MAU reported in the previous quarter, Gemini achieved a net increase of 100 million users in a short period. This data not only significantly outperforms Meta AI's 500 million MAU but is also rapidly approaching the industry leader ChatGPT, which had an estimated 810 million MAU at the end of 2025. Google CEO Sundar Pichai stated that the newly launched Gemini 3 model is the core driver behind this growth, and its deep and detailed response capabilities have been well-received by users.

In addition to expanding user numbers, Google's commercialization efforts are accelerating. To attract price-sensitive users, Google recently launched a low-cost subscription plan called Google AI Plus, priced at $7.99 per month. Although this plan has not yet been reflected in this quarter's financial report, management has high expectations for its ability to attract new users in the future.

On the AI infrastructure front, Google has also been very active. To reduce dependence on external chips and compete against NVIDIA, Google introduced a new generation of TPU AI acceleration chip named Ironwood. Driven by strong demand from the AI department, Alphabet's total revenue for the year broke through the $40 billion mark for the first time, officially declaring that the company has fully transformed into an "AI-first" enterprise entity.

Key Points:

  • 📈 MAU Surges to 750 Million: Gemini added 100 million monthly active users within the quarter, rapidly closing the gap with ChatGPT and firmly securing its position among the top global AI applications.

  • 💰 Launches Affordable Subscription Plan: Google introduced the Google AI Plus plan priced at $7.99 per month, aiming to capture more market share in the subscription sector with its low barrier-to-entry pricing strategy.

  • 🚀 Strong Technical Support for Growth: The release of the self-developed Ironwood chip and the iteration of Gemini 3 together supported Alphabet's milestone of breaking through the $40 billion revenue mark for the first time.
