The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television has completed a one-month special governance campaign against "AI manipulation" videos. This campaign mainly targets maliciously altered content involving the Four Great Classical Novels, historical figures, revolutionary themes, and exemplary deeds.

Governance Results: Tens of thousands of illegal videos have been removed across the Internet

As of January 1, 2026, major mainstream internet platforms have successively released detailed handling data:

TikTok: A total of 6,713 illegal videos have been processed.

Kuaishou: A total of 5,576 illegal videos have been processed.

WeChat: A total of 4,376 illegal videos have been processed.

Bilibili: A total of more than 3,400 illegal videos have been processed.

Xiaohongshu: A total of 1,394 illegal videos have been processed.

Baidu: A total of 903 illegal videos have been processed.

Weibo: A total of more than 420 illegal videos have been processed.

Industry Trends: Entering a Normalized Regulatory Era

The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television emphasized that although the concentrated special governance has ended, all platforms need to include the monitoring and handling of such content in their routine management. This measure aims to prevent AI technology from being abused to distort history or desecrate classics, ensuring the seriousness and authenticity of online audio-visual content.
