With the proliferation of AI-generated content (AIGC), malicious alterations targeting classic films and heroic role models are facing strict regulation. According to the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television, a one-month special campaign against "AI manipulation" videos has been launched nationwide since January 1, 2026.

Key Measures: Protecting Classic Works and Role Models
This special operation focuses on protecting mainstream social values and cultural heritage. The scope of the governance includes, but is not limited to:
Classical Masterpieces: Strictly prohibit AI manipulation that distorts the original meaning of classic TV series such as the "Four Great Classical Novels."
Serious Themes: Focus on combating unauthorized "manipulation" of videos involving historical or revolutionary themes.
Respect for Characters: Firmly crack down on chaos caused by AI-based secondary creations targeting works featuring role models and heroes.
Platform Reports: Thousands of Violative Videos Removed
Recently, several online video platforms have released the final results of this special governance. Through technical identification and manual review, they have removed violating content:
TikTok: During the special governance period, the platform handled a total of 6,713 videos involving "AI manipulation."
Xiaohongshu: A total of 1,394 violative contents were removed, and 61 violating accounts were banned or penalized.
Future Outlook: Ongoing Regulation Is Inevitable
The State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television stated that although the special operation has temporarily ended, the governance will not stop. In the future, all platforms will establish a routine regulatory mechanism to prevent the resurgence of "AI manipulation" videos, ensuring a clean and orderly online video space, and respecting original copyright and historical facts.
