Office collaboration giant Salesforce has recently announced the launch of a new Slack bot based on the Anthropic Claude model, marking another milestone in its practical AI strategy. This deeply integrated AI assistant runs directly on the Slack platform, breaking down traditional information barriers between applications. It not only can search for conversations and files within Slack in real time, but also connects data from multiple platforms such as Salesforce, Google Drive, Box, and Atlassian Confluence, using multi-dimensional contextual information to help users prepare for meetings, create content, and accurately answer complex questions.

Slack co-founder and CTO Parker Harris noted that while the Claude model is currently prioritized, the company is actively testing other technical solutions to maintain flexibility. Notably, this new assistant strictly follows existing enterprise access control protocols to ensure data security and compliance while significantly improving work efficiency.

The feature is now available to Business+ and Enterprise+ customers, with plans for a full rollout in February. In the future, this bot will further integrate Agentforce and other AI agents, evolving from a single-task assistant into an intelligent terminal capable of coordinating complex workflows.
