According to AIbase, the Safari browser team at Apple is facing a severe challenge of core talent attrition. Recently, Marco Triverio, a senior chief designer of Safari, announced his departure and officially joined The Browser Company, a startup seen as a "disruptor" in the browser market.
The Browser Company's CEO Josh Miller confirmed this news and revealed an astonishing fact: all previous chief designers who led the "eras" of Safari design have been recruited by the company since 2020. This acquisition of top industrial design talent marks that this emerging tech company is concentrating elite design forces to reshape the interaction paradigm of browsers in the AI era.

The Browser Company previously gained fame in the industry with its unconventional Arc browser, whose non-traditional tab system and collaboration tools are considered to have a distinct "Apple-like" design sense. In 2025, the company further launched the Dia browser, which focuses on AI-assisted workflows, aiming to evolve the browser into a central platform for information retrieval, content creation, and team collaboration by directly embedding generative AI into the interface.
