On October 29, according to Kuai Technology, ByteDance's "Doubao Work" officially launched a brand-new third-party large model service for enterprise customers. This move breaks the traditional model in which enterprises had to purchase separately from different model vendors, allowing enterprise users to flexibly switch among multiple mainstream large models within the same workspace based on different task needs, such as long-text processing, code writing, or logical reasoning.

In the initial launch phase, Doubao Work officially integrated three high-profile flagship industry models: Kimi3.1Pro, GLM5.3, and DeepSeek V4.1Flash. Enterprises can freely choose the model best suited to the corresponding field for collaborative work based on specific workflow scenarios, eliminating the hassle of switching back and forth between multiple accounts and web pages.

In terms of target users and billing mechanism, this third-party large model service is currently available only to Team Subscription and Enterprise Subscription customers. After launch, the system will be enabled by default. Enterprises do not need to submit complicated additional approval requests or incur extra cash procurement costs. When the system calls a third-party model, it will automatically deduct existing AI credits from the enterprise account, making it truly ready to use out of the box.

In addition, to balance execution efficiency in daily office work with absolute security of internal data, the platform gives administrators highly granular control permissions. For personnel management, administrators can flexibly define the scope of access, enabling it for an individual member, a department, or a work group, or enabling it for all employees with one click; they can also enable models in batches by vendor or turn individual models on or off separately. For scenario control, administrators can also independently restrict the specific endpoint environments where models take effect, for example, allowing them only on the Doubao desktop app, Doubao Work desktop app, mobile app, web, or Doubao Work within Feishu, ensuring that sensitive enterprise data is not leaked.

Industry analysts believe that as Doubao Work introduces several leading third-party large models in its first batch, enterprise users will have greater flexibility in selecting and centrally managing their everyday AI tools. Going forward, the platform will continue to integrate more third-party large models, further enriching the usage ecosystem for enterprise-grade AI assistants.
