SpaceX, under Elon Musk, has merged several previously separate membership cards into a single unified pass. The company officially launched a subscription system called The X Subscription, integrating four business lines - Grok chat, Grok Bot agent, Cursor programming, and X Premium social - into one billing system for the first time. The new pricing tiers range from free to the top-tier: Free, Plus at $8 per month, Premium at $30 per month, Super at $100 per month, and Ultra at $200 per month.
The biggest concern for existing users is whether their previous subscriptions to Grok or Cursor still count. The official answer is two sentences: they can stay, and they can also switch over. Old standalone packages will remain as they are, with no set deadline, and their prices and features will not change, but they will no longer accept new users. While the company explicitly mentions that "remaining users will eventually be migrated," it does not provide a timeline and promises to notify in advance, with the switch being entirely voluntary. In other words, you can keep using the old one if you like, and there's no obstacle to switching in.

To make the switch, the entry point is hidden in the billing settings of your account. This guidance is gradually pushed out; those who see the switch can follow the instructions to bind the X, Grok, and Cursor accounts together, and the system will recommend the corresponding tier based on your current subscription. Cursor users have a special switch page. After binding is completed, the new subscription takes effect immediately. The refund process is also explained: when switching, the old package will be refunded according to the remaining days, and annual subscribers will have "every day they've already paid for retained," with no changes made before the current cycle ends. Additionally, there is a limited-time offer - the exact amount is only visible on the personal billing page and not publicly displayed.
One change in benefits deserves clarification. Previously included third-party model usage in the Cursor package, such as Claude and GPT, will continue to be valid before switching; once moved into the new system, this part will no longer be in the shared usage pool, requiring separate top-ups at API price, and only the Premium and higher tiers will allow its use. In other words, the all-in-one package includes Musk's own brain, but excludes other people's brains from the shared pool.
