Recently, NetEase Youdao Lobster released a letter to users, publicly responding to the recently widely discussed "Tencent QClaw shutdown" incident. Youdao Lobster not only expressed its long-term commitment to the product and clearly defined its strategic positioning as the only desktop agent product for office workers in the NetEase group, but also directly invited QClaw users to "migrate".

As the only desktop agent product of NetEase Group targeting office workers, Youdao Lobster has iterated 82 versions since its launch in February 2026, adhering to the principles of open source, openness, and security. The letter emphasized its focus on long-term investment and user data value, and it will not use user experience as a bet within internal competitions.

Public information shows that Tencent's QClaw, developed based on the OpenClaw framework, will cease operations on December 24, 2026, due to business adjustments. Its team has previously been integrated into the Cloud Products Department Six of WorkBuddy.

Youdao Lobster's move efficiently seized the market gap left by similar products being shut down by providing a convenient migration plan, further consolidating its market position in the AI office assistant field.
