According to a report by the Financial Times and related market news, OpenAI has clearly stated that its annual revenue is "close to 50 billion dollars," which is significantly reduced by about 20 billion dollars compared to the previously widely circulated 70 billion dollars in the market.
It is known that the 70 billion dollars that sparked discussions earlier was a rough estimate made by some investors for direct comparison with Anthropic's annual revenue. There are substantial differences in the financial accounting standards between the two companies: Anthropic counts sales from cloud partners as revenue, while OpenAI does not adopt this statistical口径.

This revision of financial data has reignited discussions in the market regarding the commercialization of leading large model companies and the sustainability of high expenditures. Although OpenAI secured 122 billion dollars in funding in March of this year, its leaked 2025 financial report shows revenue of only about 13 billion dollars, with research and operational expenses far exceeding the revenue scale.
