On September 16, during the 2026 Intelligent Economy Forum held in Beijing, Shen Dou, Executive Vice President of Baidu Group and President of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Business Unit, delivered a keynote speech and officially proposed the core concept of the "Industrial Intelligent Entity Operating System." He pointed out that the current large models are at a critical turning point where they are shifting from pure technological breakthroughs to actual economic forces. The industrial intelligent entity is the key link connecting model capabilities with macroeconomic growth, truly transforming AI technological advances into business results for enterprises.

Looking back at the industry trends this year, the competition for intelligent entity applications in the general office field has shown a highly competitive situation. However, in his speech, Shen Dou emphasized that the intelligence of the "office" scenario is essentially a fundamental atomic-level capability. To deeply integrate into the real economy and complex production processes across various industries, a single general capability is far from sufficient.

Based on in-depth thinking about industry implementation, Shen Dou proposed that the system supporting the efficient operation of future industrial intelligent entities should include three types of collaborative intelligent entities: first, general intelligent entities with broad foundational cognition and general task processing capabilities; second, specialized intelligent entities that delve into specific industries and have accumulated professional knowledge and industry standards; third, customized intelligent entities that perfectly align with a company's own business processes and meet personalized customization needs. The coordinated deployment of these three types of intelligent entities will provide broader and more solid intelligent solutions for the industry, promoting the deep development of AI empowering the real economy.
