At the Bund Conference, Alipay announced that AI payments are moving from "payable" to "trustworthy": on one hand, Alipay will launch an AI wallet agent to help users manage every AI payment transaction; on the other hand, it continues to upgrade its AI payment product system, introducing three new "AI receiving" capabilities: Vibe Pay, Skill Pay, and Machine Pay, as well as new scenarios such as AI Subscription, AI Assistant Purchase, and AI Reservation.

More importantly, Alipay's AI payment application is built upon Ant Group's independently developed APASS commercial trust infrastructure. Based on the KYA (Know Your Agent) concept, APASS establishes a comprehensive trust mechanism around the identity, intent, authorization, and behavior of agents, allowing AI payments to move from "being able to pay" to "being able to pay with trust."
At the same time, AI payments are also moving from the digital world into the real commercial world: Gaode Momentum, Qwen Glasses, Future Smart, and others have launched new products that can be paid for, and even robot dogs can complete price inquiries, orders, payments, and pickup under the user's authorization.
AINew Economy Accelerates
Agents Are Becoming New Business Participants
As more and more tasks are entrusted to agents, AI has evolved from a tool into a new business participant: from people using AI, to people delegating AI, and then to AI collaboration. A new production, consumption, and commercial network is forming, marking the beginning of the AI new economy era.
Payment is changing accordingly. According to Alipay data, the number of agent-assisted purchase tasks increased 7 times in the past five months, and the average monthly payment frequency increased 3 times. In the past, payment was the final step of a transaction, but now it needs to span the identity, intent, authorization, execution, and responsibility of agents, becoming the new infrastructure for the scalability of agent-based commerce.
"AI payment is not the last step; it becomes the trustworthy commitment engine for agent-based commerce," said Han Xinyi, CEO of Ant Group.
AIWallet Agent
Help Individuals Manage Every AI Payment
After AI enters the business world, users entrust more tasks to agents. Alipay will launch the AI wallet agent, becoming a "trusted person" for users in the agent world.

For example, when a user asks Qwen to order a coffee, Qwen handles the "what to find and what to order," while the AI wallet agent ensures that the process aligns with the user's intent, authorization, and final cost before executing the payment only after the transaction is completed and confirmed.
The AI wallet agent holds the full context of a transaction, linking the user's initial intention, budget requirements, and the agent's execution process and final transaction results. After identifying risks and confirming that the transaction complies with user authorization, the payment is made. This way, Alipay's AI payment moves from "allowing agents to pay" to enabling agents to conduct value exchanges under user authorization and a trustworthy mechanism.
"AIReceiving" Upgrades
Three Capabilities Open New Spaces for Digital Commerce
Building on its previously released full-stack AI payment product matrix, Alipay's "AI Receiving" has introduced three new capabilities: Vibe Pay, Skill Pay, and Machine Pay, covering AI application creation, skill monetization, and machine connectivity in the digital world.
● Vibe Pay: After integration, developers can charge once each time their AI-powered website or mini-program is used, similar to placing a QR code at the door of your own store;
● Skill Pay: Once integrated, it enables protection, pricing, and collection for Skills, allowing Skills to generate continuous revenue when called by Agents, supporting both one-time payments and monthly subscriptions;
● Machine Pay: The system automatically charges each time an Agent uses it, charging based on usage, much like automatic utility meter billing without manual monitoring.
AIPayments Enter the Real Commercial World
New Species Begin to "Pay for Themselves"
Based on the upgraded capabilities of AI payments, Alipay has introduced three new scenario capabilities for e-commerce:
● AI Subscription: Users authorize agents to order goods at fixed intervals;
● AI Assistant Purchase: Users set a target price, and agents automatically place orders when the price falls below the target;
● AI Reservation: Agents automatically place orders when the target product is listed or restocked.

At the same time, AI payments are also helping new species enter real commercial scenarios:
● Qwen AI Glasses: Users can complete payments through iris recognition just by looking;
● Future Smart viaim AI Earphones: Users can recharge phone credits, pay parking fees, and order coffee through voice;
● Embodied Intelligent Products: By integrating AI payment capabilities, they gradually connect robots to the "last mile" of physical commercial spaces.
One of the most popular "stars" at the Bund Conference, the Gaode Momentum robot dog "Tutu," has made "the dog buys for you" a reality: under the user's authorization, "Tutu" can complete price inquiries, orders, payments, and pickups, bringing the product back to the user, making it more convenient and reassuring.
From AI applications to AI glasses, and then to robot dogs, payments are becoming an essential infrastructure connecting agents and the real commercial world.
APASS Applied to Alipay's AI Payments
Establishing a "Trust Foundation" for AI Payments
If AI payments solve the issue of "enabling agents to pay," then APASS solves the issue of "enabling agents to pay with trust."
APASS is a trust infrastructure designed by Ant Group for agent-based commercial activities, establishing a dual trust chain of "identity + behavior" based on the KYA (Know Your Agent) concept, offering capabilities such as agent identity registration, continuous verification, intent security, and trusted evidence storage.
This time, APASS has been applied to Alipay's AI payments. When agents initiate a payment, the system continuously verifies their identity, transaction intent, and authorization boundaries: executing transactions if they are trustworthy and authorized; requesting user confirmation if there are doubts; and rejecting transactions with clear oversteps, leaving traceable trusted records.
This means that Alipay's AI payments are forming a new trust mechanism: shifting from verifying "whether a person can pay" to verifying "who the AI is, who it is paying for, why it is paying, and whether the transaction has been authorized."
This capability will also be further opened up to a broader agent commercial ecosystem. Recently, Visa and Mastercard, two major international card organizations, are jointly exploring the interoperability of the KYA framework with Alipay+'s payment interconnection network, promoting the connection of agent identities and trust capabilities to a wider commercial network.
