According to CCTV Economic News, AI short videos have experienced a surge this year: the technical barriers have decreased, attracting a large number of professionals, and production capacity has expanded rapidly, leading to a "plummet" in production prices.
Same with producing AI short videos, the price per minute has dropped from 5,000 yuan to just a few hundred yuan, approaching the cost line; however, customized short video services can still maintain a level of 10,000 to 20,000 yuan per minute. When "being able to produce" is no longer a rare capability, competition in the AI short video industry is shifting from competing on quantity and price to competing on content and market.
Data shows that the domestic AI drama and animation market is expected to exceed 40 billion yuan by 2026, with a year-on-year growth rate of 138%. The overseas market also showed impressive performance, with an estimated scale exceeding 4 billion US dollars (about 26.938 billion Chinese yuan), accounting for nearly 70% of the overall overseas micro-short video market.
