Recently, Amazon officially announced that two cybersecurity models from OpenAI, Daybreak Red and Daybreak Blue, are now available to eligible Amazon Bedrock users. The launch of these two new models not only further deepens the long-term strategic cooperation between the two companies but also marks Amazon's continued expansion of its cloud AI service portfolio.

According to the information, both models are important components of OpenAI's network defense program called Daybreak. Daybreak Red mainly provides access to GPT-5.6Cyber; while Daybreak Blue includes cutting-edge general models such as GPT-5.6Sol, and is specifically optimized and enhanced for defensive cybersecurity applications. Before this, several models from OpenAI, including GPT-5.6Sol, Terra, and Luna, were successively released on Amazon Bedrock in July.

In February of this year, Amazon and OpenAI officially established a multi-year strategic partnership involving an investment of up to $50 billion. As the financial progress advanced, Amazon completed its contributions in the first and second quarters, and by the end of June, it had fully allocated the remaining funds. It has now completed the total $50 billion investment in OpenAI, with a holding percentage of approximately 5%.

While continuously increasing its investment in OpenAI, Amazon has adopted a broad strategy in the artificial intelligence field. In addition to promoting in-depth cooperation with OpenAI, Amazon has recently further expanded its investment and business integration with Anthropic. By building a diversified model distribution channel and vigorously developing its own technology, Amazon is effectively reducing its reliance on a single supplier and continuously driving the rapid growth of AWS cloud services.
