On the artificial intelligence track, Google is accelerating its pace further. The company's CEO Sundar Pichai recently announced on a social platform that the monthly active users of its Gemini app have officially exceeded 1 billion, becoming one of the fastest-growing products in the company's history. This also marks the 14th core product of Google to enter the "1 Billion Users Club."

With this milestone achieved, Gemini has matched OpenAI's ChatGPT in terms of user scale, which also reached a monthly active user base of 1 billion in June this year. Currently, Google has deeply integrated Gemini into all corners of its ecosystem, including search, Workspace, Android, and standalone apps. Among them, the AI mode in the search product also has more than 1 billion monthly active users globally; however, the 1 billion figure announced this time focuses solely on the Gemini standalone app.

In terms of technical iterations, Google continues to launch new models and features, such as Gemini 3.5 Flash, designed to optimize code writing and autonomous AI agent tasks. At the same time, the official also revealed some interesting data about user interaction with AI: 63% of users are accustomed to communicating directly with the assistant via voice function, and the number of images generated by the app daily has exceeded 150 million.

Outside the domestic market, Gemini's active users on the iOS platform have already exceeded 10 million. This achievement comes after Google's second-quarter 2026 financial report was released — at that time, the company had just celebrated reaching nearly 950 million monthly active users and a threefold increase in daily active users over the past year. With the upcoming "Made by Google" product launch event, it is expected that more innovative features powered by Gemini will be introduced to various Pixel devices.
