Recently, OpenAI officially launched the "ChatGPT for Academic Researchers" program. This initiative aims to provide researchers with stronger technical support. Initially, it will be available to 10,000 researchers at selected universities, and will gradually expand to 100,000 researchers in the future.
According to this program, researchers who are selected will receive an advanced version of ChatGPT with higher usage limits and a larger context window. In addition, each participant can invite four colleagues from their institution to enjoy the same benefits for free. Meanwhile, OpenAI also plans to introduce extended research features for the chatbot, helping researchers gain more efficient insights into topics from specific sources such as scientific journals.
