Cao Cao出行 announced on July 27 that it has officially launched driverless robotaxi testing in the Binjiang District of Hangzhou. Through an operational mechanism that triggers orders at specific stations, the stability and reliability of unmanned operations have been verified. The test vehicles are fully integrated with the "Cao Cao Zhi Xing RAS Remote Safety Service Platform," which takes responsibility for full-process safety monitoring, emergency call response, remote real-time assistance, and abnormal handling.
As the core commercial carrier of Geely Holding Group's RoboX strategy, Cao Cao出行 was previously approved this year as the first company in Hangzhou to conduct road tests of intelligent connected vehicles without a safety operator. Currently, the company has deployed a fleet of hundreds of robotaxis and put into operation the world's first "green intelligent passage island" integrating automatic battery swapping, automatic cleaning, and vehicle maintenance functions.
The company is advancing the transition to unmanned operations through a three-in-one development model of "intelligent customized vehicles + intelligent driving technology + intelligent operations." Its deeply developed China's first native-developed robotaxi, "Eva Cab," has officially been unveiled, with plans to achieve mass production and begin large-scale global commercial operations by 2027. With the deepening of unmanned testing and the enhancement of cloud-based safety capabilities, high-level autonomous driving has taken a key step from technical verification to commercial implementation, laying the foundation for the large-scale reshaping of the future mobility ecosystem.
