On July 24, Hongguo Short Drama released an announcement titled "Announcement on Standardizing AI Drama Character Creation," clearly defining creation standards from two aspects: character differentiation and copyright compliance, aiming to reduce the usage rate of "frequent AI faces" and prevent risks of material violations.

The regulations require that main characters in a single drama must have clear distinguishability and high recognizability. It is strictly prohibited to reuse highly similar characters across different dramas or roles to alleviate visual fatigue. In terms of copyright, three red lines are set: it is not allowed to use others' original characters, costumes, and prop designs without authorization; it is strictly forbidden to plagiarize copyrighted photographs and art works; when using copyrighted content, prior authorization is required.

In addition, the platform will launch a special governance campaign to focus on addressing issues such as character reuse, homogenization, and material violations, and will encourage creators to self-examine and make corrections. This marks that the AI short drama industry is accelerating towards a more standardized and refined operation stage.
