OpenAI has officially removed the waitlist for the ChatGPT Health feature and made it available to all users in the U.S. aged 18 and above. Users of all plans, including the free version, Go, Plus, and Pro, can now directly access the health experience on the web and iOS versions of ChatGPT's sidebar.
According to OpenAI statistics, the number of users consulting health and wellness-related questions on ChatGPT has increased from 230 million in the early stages to over 300 million per week.

Integrating Apple Health and Electronic Medical Records, AI Fully Understands Your Body
After several months of testing and feedback, ChatGPT Health has achieved multiple upgrades. The system can now integrate with Apple Health and electronic medical records from One Medical, Function Health, and several U.S. hospital systems. After user authorization, ChatGPT can comprehensively analyze data such as medication use, lab results, medical records, sleep, and daily exercise to provide personalized health answers.
For example, users can ask ChatGPT to compare the latest lab results with previous data, summarize health changes since the last visit, or assess the impact of sleep and exercise on daily conditions.
Users not only can ask questions in the health section but also can introduce a health context explicitly by typing "@Health" in regular conversations, or authorize ChatGPT to automatically refer to health background when answering questions—for instance, considering dietary restrictions when recommending meals, or avoiding recent injury areas when planning physical activities.
The system will always seek user permission before accessing health data, allowing users to choose single-time authorization or permanent permission. Regarding privacy issues, OpenAI clearly states that all accessed medical records, Apple Health data, and related conversation content will not be used for training large language models or for advertising purposes.
