Global renowned stock photo company Getty Images has officially announced a display cooperation agreement with OpenAI. The company's compliant licensed image library materials will be officially integrated into the search and content discovery sections of ChatGPT.

As a leading global commercial image library, Getty Images has long been involved in the AI field. It previously collaborated with NVIDIA to launch a dedicated generative AI tool called Generative AI by Getty Images. This tool uses only the platform's legitimate image library for model training and provides complete legal copyright protection for generated images, avoiding commercial infringement risks.
This collaboration is another move by OpenAI to expand its official content ecosystem. In July 2023, OpenAI had already renewed a six-year partnership with the image platform Shutterstock, using its image, video, and audio materials to train AI models.
In April 2024, OpenAI also reached a content cooperation agreement with the UK's Financial Times, incorporating media databases to provide ChatGPT users with authoritative news summaries and original article links. Continuously collaborating with various copyright content providers can enhance ChatGPT's ability to retrieve text and images while standardizing the use of AI content copyrights.
