Major tech company Google has recently announced an important product expansion plan, further expanding the reach of its artificial intelligence assistant. Google official stated that the Gemini chatbot feature built into the Chrome browser has now been rolled out to more countries and regions. This update mainly targets desktop and iOS users, officially opening up to many countries in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.
European Market Again Excluded
Unfortunately, during this large-scale expansion, the European market is once again excluded from the service coverage. Google did not provide specific reasons for the exclusion in the update announcement, but it mentioned that it may consider expanding to the region at a later date. In fact, since the feature was first launched in the United States last year, it has gradually been introduced to Canada, India, and other places, but European users will still be unable to experience it directly in the short term.
Deep Integration of Tab Content
As a native browser feature, the Gemini integrated into Chrome can directly "see" the current tabs and windows opened by the user. It not only can automatically generate summaries for long web pages, but also efficiently cross-reference information between multiple tabs. Due to its deep integration with Google's own ecosystem, users do not need to leave the current page to use tools such as calendar, maps, and Gmail directly from the sidebar to handle daily office tasks.
