WeChat AI ecosystem has undergone a major upgrade, bringing intelligent transformation to local lifestyle services. On the evening of June 8, 2026, WeChat officially opened up convenient access to the WeChat AI ecosystem for developers, allowing users to directly call AI application services within mini-programs through the WeChat AI Agent. As one of the first pilot partners, Meituan has jointly completed development and testing with the WeChat team. In the future, users will be able to call Meituan's food delivery and other local lifestyle services through the WeChat Agent, achieving an intelligent lifestyle experience across scenarios and with high complexity.

Meituan (2)

This collaboration reflects Meituan's deep layout in AI technology and strategy. During the first-quarter financial call this year, Meituan CEO Wang Xing pointed out prospectively that serving AI Agents (To A) is becoming increasingly important, in addition to serving consumers (To C) and merchants (To B). In April this year, Meituan's new generation large model LongCat-2.0-Preview was open for testing. This model has a total parameter scale exceeding ten trillion, and both training and inference were entirely completed using domestic computing clusters. Based on the LongCat large model, Meituan has previously upgraded AI applications such as "Xiao Tu" and "Xiao Mei," which help users make complex decisions across different scenarios.

The integration of Meituan's local lifestyle scenarios with the WeChat AI ecosystem not only marks that the application of large models is accelerating from small traffic tests to the deep construction of national-level giant ecosystems, but also indicates that AI Agents are becoming the new entry point for the next generation of traffic and service distribution, taking a crucial step forward in the commercialization of the AI industry in the era of trillions of parameters for large models.
