Searching for specific information in a large volume of emails is often a time-consuming task. To simplify this process, Google recently announced that its "Ask Gemini in Drive" feature has now been extended to Gmail, helping users find the emails they need more easily. The feature was first introduced in March and is now officially available to eligible Google Workspace, AI Pro, and Ultra users.

When using this new feature, users simply need to select Gmail as the query source in the left menu, then click the "Ask Gemini" button in the top right corner. Next, users can ask specific questions, such as "Find the emails I received regarding the Jenkins project approval," and the system will search for relevant emails based on the user's needs. Google states that this feature is designed to provide a more efficient email management experience, allowing users to explore and understand content through high-context multi-turn conversations.

"Ask Gemini" not only helps users find specific emails but also provides a more comprehensive view across the entire work environment, including information about emails, files, and folders, ensuring users get the most accurate answers. Google hopes this feature will improve the efficiency of enterprise users, helping them better handle the challenges of information retrieval.

The feature is now officially launched, and eligible users can immediately experience this innovative way of searching emails.
