WeChat has recently announced that it is deeply collaborating with several major domestic mobile phone manufacturers, including Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, and OPPO, to jointly launch assistant capabilities based on the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) collaboration mechanism. This feature aims to deeply integrate WeChat's high-frequency communication services into the native system of smartphones. In the future, users will be able to initiate WeChat voice and video calls or send messages to specific contacts directly through the system-level AI assistant built into their phones.

According to official Tencent customer service information, multiple manufacturers have successfully completed system integration. In terms of technical infrastructure and compliance, this capability strictly adopts a dual authorization mechanism to ensure user data security and privacy.

This move marks that the intelligent agent ecosystem in the era of large AI models is moving from "island interconnection" to "end-cloud collaboration." Through the A2A collaboration mechanism, AI on the device side and AI on the application side have achieved cross-ecosystem integration at the underlying level, significantly shortening the user's operational chain. This is not only another expansion of WeChat's service in national-level application scenarios but also provides core support for mobile phone manufacturers to enhance the practical value of their system AI.

Against the backdrop of the industry's general exploration of AI implementation paths, this deep coupling between system-level assistants and super applications is becoming a key paradigm in driving the maturity of end-side AI application ecosystems.
