On the evening of June 1, Meituan announced at its first-quarter 2026 earnings call that the collaboration between its AI assistant "Xiaomei" and Tencent Yuanbao will be officially launched soon. This partnership marks a deep integration between two major ecosystems, allowing users to directly input their requests within the Tencent Yuanbao interface and use "Xiaomei" to access food delivery and other local life services across platforms, offering an integrated and seamless local life service experience.

As a leading company in the local life sector, Meituan's move aims to regard AI as a strategic opportunity to strengthen its competitive advantage and create new value. At the meeting, Meituan CEO Wang Xing emphasized that with the advancement of large model technology, serving AI Agents (To A) is becoming increasingly important, in addition to serving consumers (To C) and merchants (To B). Meituan will continue to iterate on AI Agent and large model capabilities, leveraging its more comprehensive business coverage, more complete and authentic merchant information and user reviews, as well as a more reliable fulfillment system, to build a differentiated competitive advantage.

Industry analysts believe that Meituan's collaboration with Tencent Yuanbao is not only an efficient integration of a general-purpose large model entrance and vertical scenario applications, but also indicates that the AI Agent ecosystem is accelerating into a new stage of "cross-platform collaboration." In the context of diminishing traffic dividends, opening up core fulfillment capabilities through the "To A" model may become a key strategic approach for internet giants to reshape scenario boundaries and activate existing value in the AI era.
