WeChat has released the "Global Youth AI+ Mini Program Insight Report," showcasing the remarkable achievements of the mini program education platform over its four years of openness. The report shows that the number of tokens consumed by teachers and students in AI creation has exceeded 50 billion annually, equivalent to 3.75 million in-depth conversations between humans and AI.
The platform has now attracted nearly 80,000 students and 17,000 teachers worldwide, with more than 280,000 mini program projects created. This marks the deep integration of generative AI into youth programming education, becoming a core tool for teachers and students to explore cutting-edge technologies.

Breaking geographical barriers through collaborative innovation, campus projects going global
With the integrated AI teaching platform for "teaching, learning, and application," young people have developed creative applications, some of which even achieved cross-border collaboration. For example, students from Chongqing and Singapore jointly created a social mini program, successfully breaking geographical barriers and promoting campus exchanges among different cultural backgrounds.
This cross-regional collaboration model not only enhances students' ability to solve real-world problems but also makes the mini program ecosystem a bridge connecting teenagers around the world. Over the past four years, various competitions have produced more than 7,000 outstanding projects covering areas such as lifestyle services and cultural dissemination.
The final of the Innovation Challenge is approaching, Shenzhen witnesses the power of young people
With the popularity of AI technology, the fourth Global Mini Program Innovation Challenge will reach its climax, with the final scheduled to be held in Shenzhen on May 16th to 17th. At that time, outstanding young developers from around the world will compete on stage, showcasing their digital solutions built using AI technology.
WeChat stated that it will continue to open up more AI capabilities for educational scenarios, lowering the programming barrier. Through continuous hosting of innovation competitions, WeChat aims to uncover more promising "tech youths" and provide more innovative backup forces for the global AI industry.
