Artificial Intelligence Application Development Platform Lovable announced on May 14, 2026, that it has officially participated in the $800,000 seed round financing of Danish hardware startup Atech. This round was led by Lovable and attracted top-tier venture capital firms including a16z Scout Fund, Sequoia Scout Fund, and Nordic Makers. This investment marks Lovable's strategic expansion of the "Vibe Coding" concept from pure software development to the field of hardware engineering.

Atech aims to simplify the complex hardware prototyping process through an AI-driven interactive platform. Users need only purchase basic hardware kits on its platform and describe their design concepts in natural language via an AI chatbot; the system will then automatically generate suitable code, transforming abstract ideas into functional physical prototypes. The platform's applications have already shown a wide range, covering everything from simple remote-controlled cars in children's education to industrial-level applications such as hydrogen synthesis factories with high voltage sensing requirements.

Traditional hardware development typically relies on experienced engineers, and high technical barriers and R&D costs have long been obstacles to industry innovation. Gustav Hugod, a core member of Atech, believes that as generative AI narrows the gap in software development, hardware democratization has become an inevitable trend. This round of funding will focus on Atech's technology research and development, market expansion, and team building. This is not only a key step in the penetration of generative AI into the physical world, but also signals a shift in hardware innovation models from "expert-driven" to "idea-driven," significantly shortening the iteration cycle from the lab to the market.
