On March 30, 2026, the latest data released by the global large model aggregation routing platform OpenRouter showed that the global usage of domestic large models has exceeded overseas models for a consecutive month.
Data shows that among the top nine models in the previous week, six were domestic models, with a total usage of 9.82T, an increase of 33.4% compared to 7.359T from the previous week. The number of overseas models on the list remained only Anthropic, with a total usage of 2.99T, a decrease of 15.4% compared to 3.536T from the previous week.

The core driving force behind this explosive growth came from the popularity of OpenClaw. As of mid-March, 20% of the token consumption on the platform was contributed by it, and its weekly average usage had already reached more than twice the level of Q4 2025. Affected by this, manufacturers such as Zhipu, Alibaba Cloud, and Tencent Cloud announced price increases. Zhang Peng, CEO of Zhipu, pointed out that the arrival of the AI Agent era has led to models needing to handle long-term task planning and multimodal information, where the token consumption per task could be hundreds of times that of traditional dialogue, directly leading to a nonlinear increase in hardware procurement costs and computing power demand.
