After half a year of public beta testing, the Didi AI travel assistant "Xiao Di" v1.0 was officially released recently. This version deeply integrates large model capabilities, aiming to transform complex travel needs into accurate platform service tags, providing users with a more intelligent and personalized ride-hailing experience.

Core Features: Understanding Natural Language, Matching Precise Services

The biggest breakthrough of "Xiao Di" is its ability to understand unstructured natural language. Users no longer need to repeatedly select filtering conditions on the App interface. Instead, they can simply express their current status or needs through voice or text, and the AI will automatically identify and select the corresponding tags:

  • Intelligent Recognition of Status: When users mention "motion sickness" or "feeling unwell," Xiao Di will automatically trigger the "smooth driving" and "gasoline car" tags; for requests such as "pregnant" or "carrying large luggage," it will match services like "spacious interior" or "large trunk."

  • Multi-Objective Route Planning: Supports completing complex route settings in one sentence, such as "pick up someone first and then go home"; it can also remember common addresses and quickly place orders with short commands like "go home" or "go to the company."

  • Integrated Lifestyle Assistant: Possesses certain lifestyle service capabilities, such as searching for nearby popular coffee shops and instantly hailing a car, or recommending multi-mode transfer solutions based on long-distance travel needs.

Xiao Di v1.0 currently covers over 90 service tags. Its core logic is to translate users' natural language into executable instructions for the platform, and combine traffic conditions, vehicle location, and driver status to perform real-time screening in the dispatch pool. When demands are too complex to perfectly match, the AI will prioritize and provide users with the "better solution" at the moment.

Starting today, users can upgrade the Didi Travel App to the latest version and click on "AI Hail a Car" on the homepage to experience it. New users who interact with Xiao Di for the first time will also receive a special welcome gift.

Didi stated that the release of the v1.0 version is an important step toward achieving "certainty" in travel services. In the future, Xiao Di will continue to iterate based on user feedback and explore more AI-based travel assistance capabilities.
