Intelligent speakers are finally shedding the label of "just playing music and setting alarms," evolving into true family personal assistants.

According to the latest report, Baidu plans to deeply integrate the open-source AI agent OpenClaw into its intelligent speaker series. This move means that the DuerOS speakers will no longer be just voice interaction terminals, but family hubs with cross-application operation and task execution capabilities.

OpenClaw was developed by an Austrian software engineer. Its core advantage lies in being able to understand complex instructions like humans and automatically complete tasks across different apps. Previously, Baidu had already launched the world's first OpenClaw application development Skill through its "Miaodada" platform, successfully integrating with DuerOS Smart Home Skills.

This integration will bring a qualitative leap to home scenarios:

From "speaking" to "handling tasks": Previously, you could only ask the speaker to "turn on the air conditioner." In the future, you might say, "Book a dinner for two people and remind me to leave half an hour later," and OpenClaw will automatically call the relevant app to complete the subsequent actions.

Scenario collaboration: Combined with the cloud computing power of Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., the speaker can better understand the personalized needs of family members and achieve more complex logical reasoning.
