According to Elon Musk's latest post on the X platform, xAI and Tesla are collaborating on an AI project named "Macrohard" (a playful term for Microsoft) or "Digital Optimus". This project originated from Tesla's investment agreement with xAI and marks their first major collaboration outcome.

This system is essentially an artificial intelligence "digital robot", capable of monitoring users' screen videos and the last 5 seconds of keyboard/mouse input in real time, and reacting quickly like humans. It uses a dual-brain architecture: xAI's Grok model acts as the "navigator" or "brain" (similar to advanced deep thinking, System 2), responsible for overall command, understanding the world, and developing strategies; while Tesla's developed AI agent serves as the "intuition system" (System 1), handling real-time screen content and input operations to achieve quick instinctive responses.
Musk emphasized that this system will run on Tesla's low-cost AI hardware (AI4 chip priced at only $650), paired with xAI's relatively modest Nvidia computing power, resulting in extremely low overall costs. No other company currently has a similar real-time intelligent AI system. He stated that this technology can principally simulate the functions of an entire company, thus achieving the potential to "automate the entire company," which is why it was named "Macrohard" as a humorous tribute to Microsoft.
This project is seen as a key step forward for AI towards full enterprise-level automation and could potentially disrupt the traditional software industry landscape. Details are still being worked on, and further progress is worth keeping an eye on.
