The rising legend of the UK GPU cloud computing startup Nscale continues. The company announced today that it has completed a $2 billion Series C funding round, with a post-money valuation reaching $14.6 billion. According to Nscale, this could be the largest single series funding in European history.
Nscale was founded in 2024, spun off from an Australian Bitcoin mining company. In less than two years, it has rapidly transformed into a key player in the AI infrastructure field, directly participating in the global computing power competition by building data centers and operating cloud services.
This funding round was led by Aker USA and 8090 Industries, followed by support from chip giant Nvidia, as well as Nokia, Lenovo, Citadel, and Dell.
With the capital injection, Nscale has brought in several Silicon Valley elites to join its board, including former Meta Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg, former Meta President of Global Affairs Nick Clegg, and former Yahoo President Susan Decker.
Nscale has committed to delivering 200,000 Nvidia GB300 GPUs to Microsoft, with deployment locations including multiple data centers in Texas, Portugal, the UK, and Norway.
The company plans to use the new funds to accelerate infrastructure construction in Europe, North America, and Asia. CEO Josh Payne stated that AI will permeate every industry and job over the next five years, and Nscale is dedicated to becoming the driving force behind this industrial revolution.
