According to AIbase, AI due diligence startup DiligenceSquared recently announced a $5 million seed funding round. This round was led by Relentless, founded by Damir Becirovic, former partner at Index Ventures, marking the beginning of generative AI's deep involvement in the core decision-making processes of the private equity (PE) industry.

DiligenceSquared was co-founded by Frederik Hansen, former partner at Blackstone Group, Søren Biltoft, former senior consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and Harshil Rastogi, former Google engineer. As a member of YC Fall 2025, the team uses AI voice agents to replace expensive management consultants, conducting in-depth interviews directly with target company clients and executives.
