Recently, Xiaohongshu has been reported to be secretly testing a new feature called "Ask by Voice." This move marks Xiaohongshu's efforts to develop the Q&A scenario of "real person experience + AI," trying to open a new battlefield in the fierce AI search competition by leveraging its unique community content advantages.

Currently, some users participating in the internal test have found that the original hot list function below the search bar has been replaced by the "Ask by Voice" entry. Users just need to input questions through voice, and the search results page will not only display related notes but also show an additional summary answer generated by AI.

According to feedback from internal testers, the answers provided by "Ask by Voice" are not generated out of thin air, but rather are structured by AI from the notes on the platform, summarizing scattered real experiences into concise reports with one click. Xiaohongshu's official customer service confirmed that this feature is still in the internal testing phase and is expected to be available to more users in the future.

An internal source of Xiaohongshu pointed out that unlike general answers generated by large models in the market, the core of "Ask by Voice" lies in integrating and refining the massive amount of real notes on the platform. Essentially, it allows AI to act as a bridge between "user questions" and "real person experiences," achieving more efficient information retrieval in the question-and-answer scenario.
