At the 2026 CES exhibition, LG first showcased its new home smart robot, CLOiD. This robot is designed to help with various household tasks, including folding clothes, cleaning the dishwasher, and delivering meals. CLOiD is very friendly in design, with a head that integrates a display, speaker, camera, and multiple sensors, allowing it to interact with users through voice and show expressive reactions.

CLOiD can not only communicate warmly with family members but also learn the home environment and user habits, and control connected home appliances accordingly. The robot's structure features two robotic arms with shoulder, elbow, and wrist joints, with fingers that can move independently, offering high flexibility. The base uses a wheeled mobility system, similar to a robotic vacuum cleaner, but it should be noted that CLOiD can only pick up items above knee height and cannot pick up objects from the floor.

At the CES exhibition, LG demonstrated how CLOiD can complete household tasks in different scenarios. For example, it can start a washing program, fold clothes, take food out of the oven, clean the dishwasher, and even deliver dishes to the dining area. LG stated that it will continue to develop more practical home robot technologies, which will also expand to other home appliances, such as an "automatic door refrigerator."

The unveiling of CLOiD marks an important step for LG in the smart home field, bringing more convenience to family life. With technological advancements, smart robots will play an increasingly significant role in daily housework, allowing users to enjoy a more relaxed home life.
