On the eve of the 2026 CES Consumer Electronics Show, the renowned hardware manufacturer Plaud officially launched its fourth AI hardware product NotePin S, and also released a new desktop application, marking the company's transition from a single offline recording device to a full-scene AI office ecosystem.

NotePin S: A More Versatile Portable AI Assistant
As an upgraded version of the first pin-shaped note-taking device in 2024, NotePin S retains the compact design and introduces several practical updates:
Interaction Upgrade: The device is equipped with physical buttons, supporting one-touch start and stop of recording. Users can click the button during recording to mark key information in real time, ensuring that the AI accurately captures important points in subsequent summaries.
Find Function: The device now supports the Apple Find My (Apple "Find My") network, effectively solving the problem of small devices being easily lost.
Core Specifications: It has an internal 64GB storage space, supports up to 20 hours of continuous recording, and dual MEMS microphones can achieve high-definition audio pickup within about 3 meters.
Price and Accessories: Priced at 179 USD, it comes with a clip, lanyard, magnetic pin, and wristband, allowing users to freely switch wearing methods based on different scenarios.
Entering Online Meetings: Desktop Application Launch
Facing competition from software such as Granola and Fathom, Plaud launched a new desktop client to unify the management of online and offline notes. The application not only supports audio capture on Mac systems but also has a smart meeting detection feature that automatically reminds users to start recording.
In addition, the desktop application introduced a "multimodal note input" feature, allowing users to add text manually, upload images or screenshots while transcribing audio. The AI will integrate this multidimensional information to generate in-depth meeting summaries with visual context.
Market Performance and Service
Up to now, Plaud has sold more than 1.5 million units. New users can enjoy 300 minutes of free transcription time per month. Although NotePin S slightly lags behind the high-end Note Pro in terms of battery life and audio pickup range, its extreme portability and rich wearing options make it an ideal choice for field workers and those who frequently move between locations.
