According to 36Kr, on December 29, Silicon Valley pet emotional intelligence company Traini announced a round of funding exceeding RMB 50 million. The funds will be mainly used for the development of multimodal pet emotion models, iteration of software and hardware products, and expansion into overseas markets. This round of funding was led by Banyan Tree, Silver Capital, ZhaoTai Group, and NYX Ventures, with participation from several well-known technology figures, including a senior vice president from Nvidia and a technical member from Anthropic.
Traini focuses on the pet emotional intelligence market, dedicated to applying multimodal generative AI to understanding and "translating" pet behavior. Its core product PEBI (Pet Empathic Behavior Interface) achieved an emotion translation accuracy rate of 94% in internal testing, covering nearly 120 dog breeds. The company completed its angel round of financing as early as May 2023, with investors including FutureX Capital and other institutions.
With this round of funding in place, Traini plans to accelerate the mass production of its first cognitive smart collar for pets. The device is equipped with real-time emotion tracking capabilities, and it integrates an in-house Valence–Arousal emotion model trained on over 900 pet behavior research papers and more than 2 million dogs' behavioral data. It can analyze pets' physiological and behavioral signals in real time to assess their emotions and health status.
This smart collar can provide feedback to owners in text or voice form, helping users better understand their pets' needs. Currently, Traini serves over 200 million pet dogs worldwide, and related YouTube content has been viewed over 60 million times. Its PetGPT tool supports natural language interaction and pet behavior analysis, with a user adoption rate exceeding 99%.
Traini's CEO stated that this round of funding will further promote the company's product development in the fields of pet smart wearables and emotional AI. In the future, the company will continue to launch more AI-driven pet innovation products.
